(NEWS) FONTANA, California, United States, 2026-Oct-02 — /Travel PR News/ — Fontana is giving pumpkin picking a distinctly Southern California twist this weekend, transforming the Fontana Park Aquatic Center into a floating pumpkin patch for the city’s third annual Pumpkin Pool-ooza on Saturday, October 3.
The four-hour family event will run from noon to 4 p.m. at 15610 Summit Avenue, where swimmers can enter the pool to choose a pumpkin from the water while supplies last. After leaving the pool, guests can take their pumpkins to a decorating station, browse local food vendors and listen to music from DJ Ace.
According to the City of Fontana’s event information, admission follows the aquatic center’s recreational swimming rates: $5 for children measuring 34 to 47 inches, $7 for guests 48 inches and taller, and $3 for seniors. All guests entering the pool area are required to pay admission, whether or not they plan to swim.
Proper swim attire is required for participants. The city also advises that children under seven must remain within arm’s reach of an adult while in the pool area, and any flotation device must be Coast Guard approved.
The seasonal event is being presented by the City of Fontana Community Services Department. In addition to the floating pumpkin patch, the programme is designed as an all-ages community afternoon built around swimming, fall activities and casual entertainment.
Families planning to take part may want to arrive early because the pumpkins are available only while supplies last. Event details and updates are available through the city’s Pumpkin Pool-ooza page.
