Experienced Four Seasons Leader Shannon Schwier Takes Helm in Santa Fe

Schwier brings extensive Four Seasons experience across luxury hotel and resort operations, pre-opening projects, leadership transitions and corporate initiatives, having held roles at properties including Four Seasons Hotel Los Angeles at Beverly Hills, Four Seasons Resort Dubai at Jumeirah Beach, Four Seasons Hotel New York Downtown, Four Seasons Hotel and Residences Fort Lauderdale and Naples Beach Club. Her appointment places her at the helm of the Santa Fe resort, recently ranked the #1 Best Resort in New Mexico by U.S. News & World Report, where she said she looks forward to working with the team and building on the property’s reputation as one of the Southwest’s most distinctive luxury retreats. A native of Indianapolis, Schwier holds a degree from the University of Indianapolis, has completed professional development certifications through Cornell University, and has travelled to all 50 U.S. states, more than 60 countries and over 90 Four Seasons properties worldwide.

Schwier joins the property following her most recent role as opening Resort Manager at Naples Beach Club, A Four Seasons Resort.
She brings broad management experience across resort, hotel and residential operations, as well as extensive expertise in pre-opening projects, operational leadership and team development.
Her appointment comes as Four Seasons Resort Rancho Encantado Santa Fe continues to build on its standing as one of the Southwest’s leading luxury retreats.
The resort was recently ranked the #1 Best Resort in New Mexico by U.S. News & World Report.
Schwier said she is thrilled to join Four Seasons Resort Rancho Encantado Santa Fe and begin a new chapter in a destination she has long admired.
She said Santa Fe’s culture, artistic character and natural beauty make it one of the world’s most distinctive places.
She added that she looks forward to making Santa Fe her new home, working with the resort’s team and continuing to strengthen the property’s reputation as an iconic luxury retreat in the Southwest.
Schwier began her Four Seasons career in 2013 at Four Seasons Hotel Los Angeles at Beverly Hills, where she served as Director of Housekeeping.
Her leadership and operational expertise led to her promotion to Director of Rooms.
In 2015, she took on an international assignment at Four Seasons Resort Dubai at Jumeirah Beach.
She was promoted in 2018 to Hotel Manager at Four Seasons Hotel New York Downtown.
In 2021, she moved to South Florida as Opening Hotel Manager of Four Seasons Hotel and Residences Fort Lauderdale.
In 2025, Schwier’s experience in pre-opening operations took her to Florida’s Gulf Coast, where she became opening Resort Manager of Naples Beach Club, A Four Seasons Resort.
In that role, she established herself as a trusted and influential leader, earning the confidence of team members, ownership partners and the development team.
Schwier has also contributed to the wider Four Seasons portfolio through a number of interim and task force assignments.
She has provided operational support at properties including The Surf Club, Anguilla, Philadelphia, Beverly Wilshire and Nashville.
She also successfully guided the Fort Lauderdale property through periods of leadership transition and has played a role in several corporate initiatives.
Originally from Indianapolis, Indiana, Schwier holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Philosophy with a minor in Music from the University of Indianapolis.
She has also completed multiple professional development certifications through Cornell University.
Outside her professional work, Schwier is passionate about music and travel.
An avid explorer, she has visited all 50 U.S. states, more than 60 countries across all seven continents, and more than 90 Four Seasons properties worldwide.
These experiences have helped shape her global perspective, deepen her appreciation for diverse cultures and strengthen her enthusiasm for new destinations and adventures.
Schwier is joined in Santa Fe by her husband, Christian, and their two cats, Buster and Poof.
