Estonian Air and EAS promote winter holiday possibilities in Estonia

2012-10-2 — /travelprnews.com/ — Estonian Air and EAS (Enterprise Estonia) continue their co-operation to attract tourists to Estonia during the low season. In the framework of this co-operation, another joint campaign will be held in the Lithuanian, Russian, Finnish, Swedish and Norwegian markets during 1–14 October, promoting the possibilities of spending winter holidays in Estonia.

“The Estonian winter offers surprisingly varied and even exotic possibilities. The memorable hikes on snowshoes, skates and kicksparks in the Estonian nature are an exciting and attractive adventure even for our closest neighbours. After the first frosts one should definitely go and see the ice castles created by the freezing water under our waterfalls. And a true gem in its own right is of course the Tallinn Old Town full of Christmas lights and decorations,” says Marketing Director of the Estonian Tourist Board at Enterprise Estonia, Tarmo Mutso.

“Our wish is to reach large numbers of people by using the Internet. The campaign at hand is a large viral campaign: the possibilities for spending the winter holidays in Estonia are, in addition to the official channels of Estonian Air and Visitestonia.com, promoted in social media channels in all five markets participating in the campaign. The special offers of Estonian Air are shown at a special site of VisitEstonia, www.visitestonia.com/en/winter-holiday, where you can also find information about winter-time events in Estonia,” says Chief Commercial Officer of Estonian Air, Rauno Parras.

The campaign is aimed at tourists planning a holiday with their friends or families. They will receive special offers on flights and are presented with ideas on how to spend their holidays. Another goal is to increase visits to the website www.visitestonia.com  and sales of services via www.estonian-air.com.

One-way flights from Helsinki, Joensuu and Jyväskyla start from 89 €, from Stockholm and Göteborg from 869 SEK, from Oslo and Trondheim from 749 NOK, from Moscow and St. Petersburg from 109 € and from Vilnius from 308 LTL, including any taxes, fees and charges. The travel period of the campaign lasts from 1 December 2012 to 30 March 2013.

Those who via the campaign’s homepage sign up to the newsletters of VisitEstonia and Estonian Air will participate in a prize draw where one of them will win an unlimited number of flights for two during six months. The winner can together with a friend fly to Tallinn or via Tallinn to all Estonian Air direct flight destinations – even as often as every day.
