EDGE Restaurant at Four Seasons Hotel Denver Introduces New Menu Plus November Events

From “Soccer Saturdays” to a fashion luncheon and Denver Arts Week dinner, EDGE has a fun-filled November

Denver, U.S.A. – 2012-11-03 — /travelprnews.com/ — EDGE Restaurant & Bar at Four Seasons Hotel Denver is welcoming the fall season with several new additions to both its lunch and dinner menus. The new additions reflect the change in season, and many of the lighter dishes have been replaced with heartier dishes relevant to fall/winter. In addition, numerous events on the schedule for November ensure something for everyone at EDGE.

EDGE’s New Menu

For lunch, EDGE has introduced three phenomenal new soups: French onion soup with gruyere cheese; butternut squash with toasted pumpkin seeds; and cannellini white bean and barley with spinach pistou. Added to the sandwich selection is a new pastrami sandwich with sauerkraut, grainy mustard, Swiss cheese and Russian dressing on rye bread. Also, a new pasta dish is available, steamed mussels with fettuccini pasta, Spanish chorizo, fennel, parmesan cheese and a white wine butter sauce.

On the dinner menu, ome new standouts for appetizers include lump crab cake served with tomatillo avocado/cilantro salad; foie gras PB&J with strawberry brioche and huckleberry; and seared scallops with mushrooms, pancetta and curry lobster cream. For entrees, the Alamosa striped bass is served with celery root puree and a brussels sprout side dish with walnut hash/ basil butter. Thyme roasted chicken is paired with a tasty white bean and duck confit ragout and mustard greens. New side dishes include sautéed forest mushrooms and brussels sprouts with pancetta.

The specialty dessert menu has been updated, now offering fresh-baked cinnamon donuts with mascarpone affogato, served warm and with a sweet dipping sauce (the affogato). Desserts also include Baked Alaska – an EDGE specialty, now served with salted butterscotch ice cream and chocolate covered Cocoa Krispies – and molten chocolate carrot cake, with pineapple carpaccio, cream cheese ice cream and ginger rum sauce. The EDGE Chocolate Tasting has been updated to include a new “S’mores Burger & Shake”—a cookie that looks like a burger with a miniature milkshake.

Soccer Saturdays with the Full English

Executive Chef Simon Purvis, originally from England, is a big soccer fan. And now, Denver soccer fans are in for a big treat as Chef Purvis is whipping up a traditional English breakfast every Saturday morning, served in EDGE Bar where the soccer games will be featured. Guests can enjoy an English Breakfast: fried bread, two bangers, two rashers of English bacon, two pieces of blood pudding grilled tomato, two fried eggs and baked beans for USD 16.00 including a coffee or tea; or for USD 20.00 including a Guinness beer. The games will be shown on EDGE Bar’s two flat-screen HD televisions. Starting Saturday November 3, 2012 through the end of soccer season, the English Breakfast will be offered on Saturdays only from 7:00 to 11:00 am.

Fashion Luncheon with Larimer Square

EDGE is partnering with the Boutique Collection at Larimer Square to offer a lunch with informal modeling of the latest holiday attire. On Thursday, November 29, at noon, guests can enjoy a pre-fixe menu for USD 22.00 (beverages, tax and gratuity are additional) and can be entertained by the fashion show, which has the theme of “White Christmas,” based upon the popular show playing at The Denver Center for Performing Arts. One lucky guest will win two tickets to see White Christmas. Reservations are suggested for the luncheon: 303 389 3343.

Denver Arts Week Dinner

Denver Arts Week is November 2-10, and EDGE is celebrating with a special dinner on November 8, featuring the opportunity to mix and mingle with the experts who selected all of the artwork at Four Seasons Hotel Denver. Guests can enjoy a three-course menu with a meet-and-greet and arts overview by Liz Graham and Barbara Lewis, owners of LewisGraham Art Consultants. Four Seasons Hotel Denver worked with LewisGraham to select all of the nearly 1,200 pieces of original art on display throughout the Hotel. A majority of the artwork is on display in EDGE and on the lobby level. Guests will start the night with a reception in the lobby lounge from 6:00 to 7:00 pm, mingling with Lewis and Graham, and will then head into dinner at EDGE. The dinner is USD 49.00 per person (beverages, tax and gratuity are additional). For reservations, call 303 389 3343.
