easyJet celebrates its inaugural flight from Bristol to Copenhagen

2012-10-4 — /travelprnews.com/ — easyJet, the largest operator at Bristol Airport, has today celebrated its inaugural flight to the Danish capital of Copenhagen.

Customers were taken by surprise and put in the mood for their trip by a Danish themed check in area where delicious Danish pastries were distributed. One lucky Bristol traveller won a pair of return flights for their next journey to the popular city break destination.

The four-times weekly flight will fly directly to Copenhagen each Monday, Wednesday, Friday and Sunday, appealing to both business and leisure passengers alike. One-way flights from Bristol to Copenhagen start from £24.99, including taxes.

Ali Gayward, easyJet UK Commercial Manager said:

“We are delighted to be celebrating our latest route launch from Bristol Airport with our customers which will provide passengers from the South West with the only direct route to one of Europe’s most dynamic cities. Copenhagen offers visitors a rich culture and access to stunning tourist attractions. The route also further strengthens our commitment to offering travellers in the region the best choice of destinations at the lowest possible fares.”

Shaun Browne, Aviation Director at Bristol Airport said:

“This new flight fills a long-standing gap on our destination map, meeting demand for a link between the South West and Scandinavia. Business links between Bristol and Denmark are growing, and a direct service to the capital can only help strengthen this relationship.

“easyJet has generated a great buzz in the check in area today and passengers on the Copenhagen flight are certainly looking forward to their city break. The route is also great for Danish tourists who want to visit Bristol’s attractions as well as the heritage city of Bath, Stonehenge and the Cotswolds.”

Copenhagen has repeatedly been recognised as one of the cities with the best quality of life, and is also considered one of the most environmentally friendly cities in the world. In the past decade, substantial investment has seen the city grow its reputation for culture, with astounding architecture and top-class food now some of the city’s top draws.
