(NEWS) FRANKFURT, Hesse, Germany, 2026-Oct-02 — /Travel PR News/ — Discover Airlines is moving its brand message away from the idea of simply discovering destinations and toward the experience passengers have before they arrive. The Lufthansa Group leisure carrier has introduced “We fly for you” as its new brand claim, replacing “Let’s discover” after five years and putting guests, crew and personal service at the center of its marketing.
The change marks a shift in emphasis rather than a departure from the airline’s leisure positioning. In its latest brand campaign announcement, Discover Airlines said its earlier communications were designed to establish the young carrier and associate it with wanderlust, holidays and new destinations. The new message is intended to make the onboard part of the journey more visible, particularly the role of employees in shaping the passenger experience.
People replace destinations as the campaign’s main visual language
The accompanying creative reflects that repositioning. Advertising that previously leaned heavily on aircraft, destinations and the feeling of being on the move is being replaced by imagery centered on passengers, crew members and individual travel moments. Discover is also adopting a more direct and conversational tone, using light humor to connect the claim with familiar onboard situations.
The campaign is scheduled to run from the beginning of October to the beginning of November, with activations in Frankfurt and Munich as well as collaborations across social media and podcasts. Those two cities are central to Discover Airlines’ operation, serving as the carrier’s main German departure points within the Lufthansa Group network.
Sebastian Kaiser, Director Customer Experience and Marketing at Discover Airlines, said the wording is intended to summarize how the airline wants to treat its guests and the kind of travel experience it aims to provide. The airline says its Net Promoter Score has remained above 55 for several years and that crew service is consistently among the aspects rated most positively by customers. Those figures are company-reported measures rather than an independent industry ranking.
New message arrives ahead of a major long-haul product refresh
The timing also connects the branding shift with a broader investment in the onboard product. Beginning in 2027, Discover Airlines plans to introduce its Ocean Blue long-haul cabin across its Airbus A330-300 fleet. The first refitted aircraft is due to enter service in April 2027, with all 16 A330-300s scheduled to receive the new interior by mid-2028.
The programme will bring a new product generation across Economy, Premium Economy and Business Class, including a front-row Business Class suite, upgraded entertainment and high-speed connectivity. By placing service and quality more prominently in its external messaging now, Discover is tying the campaign to changes passengers will increasingly encounter in the physical cabin from next year.
The airline is also preparing to expand its long-haul fleet with Airbus A350-900 aircraft. Discover’s current fleet overview lists 33 aircraft across the A330 and A320 families and says A350-900s are due to begin joining from mid-2027. The move gives the new brand platform a longer-term product backdrop rather than positioning it as a stand-alone advertising refresh.
For travelers, the most tangible part of the change will not be the slogan itself but whether the promised focus on personal service is matched by consistent delivery as the airline grows and introduces new cabins and aircraft. The campaign nevertheless provides a clearer statement of where Discover wants to compete: not only on access to holiday destinations, but also on the quality of the journey getting there.
Discover Airlines has operated as the Lufthansa Group’s leisure airline since 2021 and is headquartered in Frankfurt. It serves holiday destinations from Frankfurt and Munich and works within the group’s wider booking and connecting network.
