British Airways September Sale Opens With Deals to New York, Miami, Melbourne and Winter Sun Destinations

(NEWS) LONDON, 2026-Aug-27 — /Travel PR News/ — British Airways and British Airways Holidays have launched their annual September Sale, offering discounted flights and holiday packages across the airline’s global network for travel in 2026 and beyond.

The sale opened on 27 August 2026 and runs until 29 September 2026, giving travellers several weeks to plan anything from European city breaks and winter sun holidays to long-haul trips further afield.

According to details released by British Airways, flight offers include return fares to New York from £410, Miami from £515, Barbados from £523 and Melbourne from £846.

The airline is also promoting short-haul business-class offers in Club Europe, with return fares starting from £328 to Barcelona, £349 to Rome and £361 to Nice. These offers target travellers looking to turn a familiar European break into a more comfortable premium-cabin journey.

British Airways Holidays is also offering discounted packages across a wide range of destinations. Examples include New York packages from £599pp, Tenerife from £369pp and the Maldives from £1,369pp, subject to availability and travel dates.

The sale also reflects early demand for 2027 travel. British Airways Holidays said searches for 2027 holidays to Colombo are up 113%, ahead of British Airways’ direct Sri Lanka flights from 23 October. Seven-night Sri Lanka packages are available in the sale from £749pp.

Other destinations seeing rising interest include Las Vegas, where 2027 holiday searches are up 19%, with four-night packages from £739pp. In Europe, searches for Madeira are up 27%, with seven-night packages from £479pp. Malaga and Cyprus are also showing stronger interest, with packages from £319pp and £429pp respectively.

For members of The British Airways Club, British Airways Holidays is adding a loyalty incentive. From 27 August to 1 September, members can collect up to 20,000 bonus Avios when booking a holiday package as part of the sale, for travel up to and including 31 August 2027.

Holiday customers can also secure bookings with deposits from £60pp and pay the remaining balance in flexible instalments. Members of The British Airways Club can earn one Tier Point for every £1 spent on holiday packages, while also collecting Avios on the full value of the booking.

Andrew Flintham, Managing Director of British Airways Holidays, said customers are already thinking about their next break and looking for ways to escape the everyday. He said the September Sale offers value across beach holidays, cultural city breaks and long-haul adventures.

The sale includes a broad mix of destinations. In Europe, featured holiday deals include Rhodes, Algarve and Malaga. Across North America, packages include Orlando, Toronto and New York. Further afield, British Airways Holidays is promoting offers to Antigua, Mauritius and St. Lucia.

All flights included in the sale depart from London Heathrow, London Gatwick or London City Airport, depending on the route. British Airways Holidays packages combine flights with hotels or car hire, with prices based on two people sharing and subject to availability.

For travellers, the sale is positioned around flexibility and early planning. Some offers focus on late-2026 breaks, while others give customers the chance to lock in trips for 2027 at sale prices.

For British Airways, the campaign comes at a time when many travellers are planning further ahead, particularly for winter sun, long-haul leisure trips and major city breaks. By combining flight-only fares, holiday packages, Avios incentives and flexible payment options, the September Sale gives the airline and its holidays business several ways to appeal to both spontaneous bookers and early planners.

Whether the trip is a New York weekend, a Miami beach break, a Sri Lanka escape or a European premium-cabin city break, the sale is built around a simple message: everyday routines can be traded for a getaway, sometimes sooner than expected.
