2013-04-11 — /travelprnews.com/ — British Airways has signed an exclusive three-year partnership with world number three golfer, Britain’s Justin Rose, to become his Official Global Airline Partner.
Justin will support the airline’s global marketing activity, including personal appearances, media and PR, internal engagement and supporting Flying Start – the airline’s charity partnership with Comic Relief. Justin’s Tour apparel will now feature the British Airways logo on his shirt collar, starting with the first Major of the season, the US Masters taking place in Augusta this week (11-14 April).
Justin said; “I’m delighted to be working with British Airways. Golf takes me all over the world, and as an athlete it’s really important to arrive feeling refreshed and ready to compete. The premium service provided by British Airways and itsoneworld partners will be a great support with the busy season ahead and I’m proud to be an ambassador for my favourite airline.
“In recent years I have got off to a flying start at Augusta and hopefully this time round I will be able to sustain that momentum so that I’m in contention come Sunday afternoon.”

Justin flew onto the golfing scene as a 17-year-old amateur during the 1998 Open Championship at Royal Birkdale, and has since gone on to win four times on the PGA Tour including the 2012 WGC – Cadillac Championship, defeating reigning Masters Champion, Bubba Watson by a stroke. Justin also has five career titles on The European Tour, where he was leading money winner in 2007.
Last year, Justin stood out in The Ryder Cup, where he teamed up with close friend Ian Poulter to win two foursomes matches and came from behind to beat Phil Mickelson in the singles, sinking long birdie putts on the final two holes to secure Europe’s fifth straight point on Sunday.
Having competed in 34 career majors, Rose has posted top-five finishes in each of the four major championships at least once in his career.
In 2013, Justin has already recorded three top 10 finishes in stroke play events and will enter the 2013 Masters as one of the favourite British contenders to claim that famous green jacket come Sunday evening.
