Caramoor Center for Music and the Arts will bring Brooklyn-based trio Bandits on the Run into the intimate Music Room of its historic Rosen House on Friday, October 16, giving visitors another reason to pair a live performance with a cultural visit to the 81-acre Katonah estate.

The 7:30 p.m. concert forms part of Caramoor’s 2026–27 Rosen House Concert Series and is presented in collaboration with City Winery. Caramoor’s official event listing describes the group’s sound as spanning indie folk, pop and Americana, with tickets currently starting at $55.

Bandits on the Run is made up of Adrian Blake Enscoe, Sydney Shepherd and Regina Strayhorn. The trio shares lead vocals while moving among instruments including guitar, cello, accordion, percussion, suitcase drums and toy instruments, a setup that has carried the group from subway busking to festival and concert stages.

The musicians have appeared on bills and stages including the Cambridge Folk Festival, Floydfest, Summerfest Milwaukee, Americanafest and the Formula 1 Singapore Grand Prix. Their songs have also been featured by NPR’s Tiny Desk and The Moth StorySLAM, as well as in Netflix’s Ask the StoryBots and the film The Same Storm.

A concert inside Caramoor’s historic home

The performance takes place in the Rosen House Music Room, a salon-scale setting inside the Mediterranean-style home created by Walter and Lucie Rosen. The room is used for chamber music, recitals, American roots music and jazz, giving the autumn and spring series a markedly different atmosphere from Caramoor’s larger summer venues.

Caramoor’s season announcement, also published through I LOVE NY, places Bandits on the Run among a broad 2026–27 lineup stretching from October through May. The calendar includes classical, jazz, folk, roots and vocal performances, with artists appearing in the same historic setting throughout the season.

The trio’s work extends beyond touring and recording. Bandits on the Run has developed theatrical projects including an adaptation of What’s Eating Gilbert Grape with Christopher Sears and Peter Hedges, as well as Yukon Ho, an original musical centered on Black prospectors during the Alaskan gold rush. Their earlier work adapting As You Like It also evolved into the EP The Shakespeare Tapes.

More than an evening concert

For visitors planning a wider day or weekend around Katonah, Caramoor is positioning the Rosen House season as part of a broader cultural experience. The estate offers docent-led Rosen House tours, formal afternoon teas, seasonal yoga sessions, family programs and studio nights devoted to activities such as ceramic tile painting, stained glass mosaics and jewelry design.

New for the season, Caramoor is also collaborating with The Juilliard School on six Extension classes connected to themes heard across the Rosen House Concert Series. Topics include chamber music across different eras and the relationship between music, faith and power in the Baroque world. The venue publishes these and other programs through its Beyond the Music schedule.

Caramoor is located at 149 Girdle Ridge Road in Katonah, New York. Concert tickets can be purchased online, by phone through the box office during weekday opening hours, or on site when venue box offices open before performances. Visitor information is available through Caramoor’s planning pages.
