(NEWS) BANGKOK, Thailand, 2026-Sep-02 — /Travel PR News/ — Hotel design is moving beyond guestrooms and into guests’ wardrobes at Anantara Hotels & Resorts, which has expanded its long-running relationship with Thai silk house Jim Thompson into a new resort-wear and travel accessories collection available across the brand’s Thailand portfolio.
Launched on 1 September 2026, Soul of Siam turns the visual language of Thai temples, landscapes, flora and traditional motifs into wearable pieces and travel accessories. The collection is being sold through all 11 Anantara hotels and resorts in Thailand, selected Jim Thompson stores and the silk house’s online channels while stocks last.
The move extends a collaboration that until now has been most visible in hotel interiors. The Jim Thompson Explorer Suite at Anantara Siam Bangkok Hotel and a designer villa at Anantara Mai Khao Phuket Villas already use the company’s fabrics and Thai-inspired motifs. Soul of Siam takes the same design relationship into products guests can pack, wear and take home.
Thai imagery becomes a travel collection
The nine-piece range includes a silk wrap kaftan, silk scarf, pocket square, Capri beach bag, Origami Elephant cap and travel pouches and cases offered in the collection’s signature print and a darker blue treatment. Jim Thompson’s dedicated collection pages describe the pieces as a mix of silk and cotton items designed around travel, resort use and gifting.
At the centre of the range is a hand-drawn Soul of Siam print combining temple silhouettes, mythical guardian figures, tropical botanicals, rural scenery and everyday-life references. A bespoke logo continues the same theme, with the stylised “A” drawing on the form of traditional Thai temple architecture.
The approach fits both brands’ efforts to make Thai identity part of the guest experience without limiting it to decorative interiors. For Anantara, whose roots are in Thailand, the collection creates a retail extension of destination storytelling. For Jim Thompson, it places a heritage textile name in front of international resort guests through a network of properties spanning Bangkok, Chiang Mai, Hua Hin, Phuket, Koh Samui, Koh Phangan, Koh Yao Yai and the Golden Triangle.
The partnership also draws on Jim Thompson’s place in modern Thai design history. The Thai Silk Company was founded in 1951 by American architect and entrepreneur James H.W. Thompson, whose work helped bring Thai silk to a much wider international audience. The brand now sells internationally while maintaining its heritage presence at the Jim Thompson House Museum in Bangkok.
Eleven Anantara resorts become retail touchpoints
The collection is available at Anantara Siam Bangkok Hotel, Anantara Riverside Bangkok Resort, Anantara Chiang Mai Resort, Anantara Golden Triangle Elephant Camp & Resort, Anantara Hua Hin Resort, Anantara Bophut Koh Samui Resort, Anantara Lawana Koh Samui Resort, Anantara Rasananda Koh Phangan Villas, Anantara Koh Yao Yai Resort & Villas, Anantara Layan Phuket Resort and Anantara Mai Khao Phuket Villas.
Guests can also find the range at selected Jim Thompson stores in Bangkok, Phuket, Koh Samui and Chiang Mai, including the Jim Thompson House Museum and major retail centres such as Siam Paragon, ICONSIAM and CentralWorld. The full collaboration can also be viewed through Anantara’s Soul of Siam collection page.
The campaign itself stays close to the collaboration’s Thai setting. It was photographed at Anantara Siam Bangkok and Anantara Riverside Bangkok and is fronted by Cindy Sirinya Bishop and Byron Bishop. Cindy, a former Miss Thailand World and television host and judge, and Byron, an actor, model and producer, have been married since 2005.
For travellers, Soul of Siam is ultimately a souvenir proposition with a more deliberate design story: rather than a conventional hotel-branded keepsake, it gives guests access to pieces developed with one of Thailand’s best-known textile houses. For Anantara, it is also another way to turn the identity of its home market into something that follows the guest beyond the stay.
