(NEWS) MADRID, Spain, 2026-Sep-15 — /Travel PR News/ — Leisure travel sellers managing hotel inventory across multiple systems are getting new tools from Amadeus aimed at reducing distribution complexity while expanding the range of properties they can offer.
In a September 14 announcement, the travel technology company detailed two new hotel distribution capabilities powered by strategic connectivity with HyperGuest. The additions span Amadeus Leisure Connect Plus and Amadeus Value Hotels, targeting both sellers that contract directly with hotels and those relying on net-rate merchant inventory.
One connection for private hotel programs
For travel sellers running their own private hotel agreements, the expanded Leisure Connect Plus capability is designed to bring connectivity, content management and distribution into a single workflow within the Amadeus Travel Platform.
Amadeus says the connection provides access to more than 150 channel managers through real-time APIs. That allows sellers to automate rate and availability updates, bring hotels into their programs more quickly and distribute contracted content across sales channels without maintaining numerous separate integrations.
The approach is intended to preserve sellers’ control over their commercial strategy while reducing manual processes around private hotel contracting. It also reflects a wider move toward multi-source hotel retailing, where agencies and leisure specialists increasingly combine privately negotiated rates with larger pools of third-party inventory.
The platform also gives sellers more scope to tailor hotel offers with optional services such as breakfast, parking, room upgrades, early or late check-out, kids club access and spa options. In practical terms, those additions can help travel companies package accommodation more closely around the needs of different leisure customers rather than presenting room rates alone.
15,000 independent properties added to Value Hotels
The second element of the connectivity expands Amadeus Value Hotels with 15,000 directly sourced independent properties supplied through HyperGuest. Alongside the larger inventory, Amadeus says sellers will receive more detailed rate-plan information, property attributes and optional-service data that can be used when merchandising hotel offers.
That richer structure is also relevant to the growing use of AI in travel search and comparison. As automated discovery tools depend on clear, standardized information to distinguish between rates, inclusions and property features, travel sellers face increasing pressure to maintain content that can be compared and personalized consistently across multiple sources.
Claire Matanda, Head of Ecommerce & Digital Development at Abbey Group, said the reduced friction between different supply lines is helping the company scale its distribution strategy while retaining control over its hotel content. Mirja Sickel, Executive Vice President, Hospitality Distribution at Amadeus, positioned the HyperGuest relationship as part of Amadeus’ broader multi-source hotel distribution strategy, combining additional inventory with more structured content for leisure sellers.
For independent hotels, the connection creates another route into travel seller distribution through Amadeus. For agencies and other leisure retailers, the more immediate effect is a larger pool of hotel options and a technology layer intended to make privately contracted and net-rate content easier to manage side by side.
