PALAIS DES THÉS – A TOUR OF THE WORLD’S TEA PLANTATIONS

Because tea is first and foremost associated with the region where it is grown, Palais des Thés travels all over the world looking for exceptional crops. Palais des Thés is a tea company renowned for its unparalleled selection of Original Teas and Premium Teas, representing the finest quality teas. The company also creates special blends and delicately fragranced teas, subtle creations which are a veritable initiation into the art of tasting.

THE AIR FRANCE BUSINESS CLASS SELECTION

Customers travelling in Business class on board Air France’s long-haul flights are invited to try a selection of high-quality teas with a choice from two black teas, three green teas and a theine-free infusion.

The Black Teas

Thé des Lords is an Earl Grey with a strong bergamot flavour, enlivened by safflower petals. Earl Grey has been a great English classic ever since Charles Grey, Earl of Falodon and Foreign Secretary in the mid-XIXth century received a recipe for flavouring tea with bergamot from a Chinese mandarin.

Margaret’s Hope is a Darjeeling tea grown on the high Himalayan plateau and highly sought after by Darjeeling enthusiasts. Dark and fruity, and full of character, it stimulates without overexciting.

The Green Teas
Sencha Ariake (Japan):

A Japanese green tea produced in the Kyushu province. Both smooth and stimulating, it is ideal in the morning and recommended to aid concentration. It is also rich in antioxidants, making it perfect for the morning after a night out!

Thé du Hammam:

One of Palais des Thés’ most popular teas. Inspired by a Turkish recipe using green tea, this is a fruity blend evoking the fragrances used to perfume the hammam – roses, green dates, red fruit and orange flower water. Sprinkled with flower petals in the purest of Eastern traditions, the tea’s extraordinary fragrance features a subtle combination of Chinese green tea, celebrated for its freshness and thirst-quenching properties, and rich fruit aromas.

Green Mint Tea:

A green tea from China flavoured with mint leaves. This refreshing, thirst-quenching beverage is the ultimate Moroccan mint tea. In Morocco but also in many other Arab countries, serving mint tea has become part of the rulebook for good living and represents the most refined expression of hospitality. The tea used is always green tea, usually Gunpowder, which is known for its freshness and thirst-quenching qualities.

Theine-free herbal infusion

L’Herboriste Verbena-Orange-Mint:

A subtle and refreshing infusion, highly appreciated for its relaxing and soothing properties. Verbena’s soft notes accorded to the orange and mint fresh tip create a delicate and soothing balance. 100% theine-free, l’Herboriste infusions are ideal at any time for a relaxing moment.
