Abu Dhabi Air Expo to double exhibition space for 2013 event

Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates, 2012-12-10 — /travelprnews.com/ — Abu Dhabi Air Expo 2013, hosted by Abu Dhabi Airports Company (ADAC), will be doubling its exhibition space in its second year running, to accommodate the increasing number of exhibitors that are keen to take advantage of the rare opportunity to network with the region’s General Aviation market. The region’s first general aviation show will take place from 5th to 7th March 2013, at Al Bateen Executive Airport, the only dedicated business aviation airport in the Middle East.

Abu Dhabi Air Expo, which had a successful inauguration in March 2012, has confirmed that leading airframers, including Dassault Aviation, Embraer Executive Jets, Bombardier, Gulfstream, and Daher Socata, have already committed to the show with many requesting to upgrade the size of their stand, and to increase the number of their aircraft in the static display. The organisers anticipate a display of over 120 aircraft, and will feature a range of models from Light Sport Aircraft manufacturers to large corporate aircraft including the Airbus 319 which Rotana Jet, one of Al Bateen’s based operators, intends to display.

Alongside fixed wing aircraft, rotary aircraft will also have a strong presence with Sikorsky and Eurocopter already demonstrating booth commitment, as well as local aerospace business Quest Helicopters.

The growing positive reputation and significance of Abu Dhabi Air Expo was clear during this year’s annual National Business Aviation Association show, held in Orlando, Florida, when a selection of  new exhibitors signed up for space.

“NBAA was really exciting for Abu Dhabi Air Expo’ sales team as the success of the first show generated commitment from a number of new companies wishing to take advantage of the opportunities presented by the expo.” commented Didier Mary, Director of Abu Dhabi Air Expo.

“ADAC is delighted to see the event, which has become known locally as Al Bateen Expo, continues to grow,” commented Chairman of Abu Dhabi Air Expo, Yousif Al Hammadi, and Deputy General Manager of Al Bateen Executive Airport. “The company expects an even greater range of manufacturers and wider number of service providers from an increased geographical spread to attend. The team is also looking forward to welcoming a number of world previews from exhibitors here in Abu Dhabi,” added Al Hammadi.
