TradeWinds Adventure Center
Located poolside at the Island Grand, the new Adventure Center is the place to go for pool towels, tennis, tokens for rides, passes for the slide and water park, sweet treats, beach stuff, recreation information and reservations for KONK Club programs. A one-stop shop for fun!

Beach Bonanza
25 acres of pristine shoreline on the island of St. Pete Beach – recently voted #1 beach destination in the USA by TripAdvisor.

Area visitors can fulfill their dream of flying with a ride on the new JetLev – a water propelled jetpack that soars up to heights of 30 feet at 30 miles per hour. TradeWinds is the first on Florida’s west coast to offer flights aboard these custom-designed packs.

The TradeWinds has also added electric surfboards – known as WaveJets – to its list of exciting watersport options. These can be rented by the hour and include a lesson. There are various board sizes available, including stand-up paddleboards, longboard, shortboard and bodyboards. Riders can travel over 8 miles per hour on these hands-free, eco-friendly boards that utilize rechargeable batteries.

Splash Island Water Park – a 20,000-square-foot water park and playground floating in the Gulf of Mexico just 60 feet off the resort’s sandy shoreline. A perfect accompaniment to the popular three-story High Tide Slide on the beach, the water park offers more than 11 fun-filled features – from jumping and climbing, to relaxing and sunning. The park has certified lifeguards on duty, and all guests are required to wear life jackets.

Guests enjoy exploring the winding, lush waterway of the TradeWinds Island Grand via paddleboat.

Beach cabanas, hammocks, glider swings, tetherball, volleyball, sand and beach toys are available to resort guests for beach play. Wall hooky is available at the beach bars.

Water sports offered beachfront include paddleboarding, banana boats, parasailing, snorkeling, shelling and dolphin watch cruises and waverunners.

Fishing charters, boat rentals and more can be reserved through Guy Harvey Outpost, a TradeWinds Beach Resort. Visitors with a boat have a complimentary overnight mooring with a round-trip transfer from a nearby marina.

KONK (Kids Only, No Kidding!) Club (Ages 4-11)
The KONK Club, a supervised program in the mornings and evenings, offers a range of exciting activities for kids including eco-camp, a hunt for RedBeard’s treasure, an art studio and creative crafts.

Day and evening theme parties such as “Camp Safari,” and “Marine Bio Camp” allow parents a peaceful opportunity to enjoy the endless TradeWinds resort amenities.

Beaker, the spirited TradeWinds pelican mascot, may be spotted throughout the resort on a “Beaker Walk” or he can also be scheduled to tuck-in the little ones at night.

Li’L Guys at Guy Harvey Outpost
Younger adventurers will delight in the eco-themed activities at the new Guy Harvey Outpost. Each day is a different offering ranging from Fishy Fishy Monday to Crabby Thursday with all activities focusing on a fun and educational message about the marine environment.

Autism-Friendly
The TradeWinds Island Resorts have been named an autism-friendly business by the Center for Autism & Related Disabilities (C.A.R.D.) Special sensory activities are offered in KONK including hands in the sand, finger puppets, an array of percussion instruments, bean bags and board games. The hotels also offer safety kits and a selection of gluten-free menu items.

Adult Activities
The TradeWinds offer fun and games for adults, too. Swim up card games like Blackjack and Texas Hold ‘Em are played on a floating card table so guests don’t even have to leave the pool. Guests that participate in the TradeWinds Bar Crawl get a complimentary t-shirt if they complete the mission. Floating cabanas and beach hammocks allow for the ultimate in relaxation.

Teenager, Family & Group Programs
TradeWinds staff members coordinate everything from scavenger hunts and dance contests to hula hoop contests and the infamous “Red Belly” belly flop contest.

The whole family will enjoy the miniature golf course located on-property. Additional activities include the bungee trampoline, gyrosphere, Caribbean hair braiding, airbrush tattoos and poolside jewelry vendors.

Teenagers have the option to participate in many activities, including glow-in-the-dark volleyball, golf and bungee trampoline. Teens can also rock out with video games such as Guitar Hero on a big screen while hanging with friends or catch a Dive-In movie.

Fun for Everyone
Captain RedBeard’s Pirate Show lands at the TradeWinds very own “Pirate Island” weekly. As the magnificent sun sets, the likeable pirate spins tall tales and conducts a sing along of memorable tunes for children and adults alike. Offered free to guests, the RedBeard Pirate Show is performed outdoors in front of a real-life, rustic, black and white ship. Prior to the show, RedBeard’s first mate, Blaze, gets the party started with contests and games for children and adults.

Guy Harvey Outpost also has a resident captain – Captain Tim – who shares his fish tales with guests regularly. Four times per week, Capt. Tim hosts shore fishing and beach walks pointing out wildlife and providing fishing tips along the way. During the week, he will also share his tips on learning to cast and throwing a cast net for both adults and kids. Other weekly topics include pier fishing, seasonal fishing, bait, fishing with kids and rod and reel care.

Both fitness centers are equipped with a full range of exercise equipment including treadmills, stair steppers and cable crossover machines. Free weights and dumbbells are located at the Island Grand fitness center. Guests may choose to participate in YogaFit or a scenic sunrise run on the beach, both offered twice weekly. Personal trainers are also available by appointment.

Body Works Salon & Spa at the TradeWinds Island Grand offers hair, nail and skin care services and spa services such as warm stone massages, chocolate wasabi facials, aromatherapy and body wraps. More than 40 a la carte services are available as well as the “Just Let Go” full-day package and the “Beach Treat” half-day package. Beachside massages are also offered for those that don’t want to miss a minute of the TradeWinds refreshing outdoor breezes.
