Rafael Nadal Of Spain Wins Coveted Title In Qatar Beating Gael Monfils Of France

Doha, Qatar, 2014-1-6 — /travelprnews.com/ — Retaining his top ranking, Rafael Nadal made a winning start to the New Year by successfully taking the top spot at the Qatar ExxonMobil Open 2014 championship last night after a three-set final against France’s Gael Monfils.

The World Number 1 men’s tennis player won 6-1, 6-7(5), 6-2 in one hour 59 minutes taking the coveted Doha title in front of a packed crowd at the Khalifa International Tennis and Squash Complex.

Qatar Airways, the Official Airline of the six-day event, has been a strong supporter of the tournament over the years.

The airline and its subsidiary Qatar Duty Free (QDF), bronze sponsor of the tournament had a presence at the public village with dedicated pavilions.
