The Global Business Travel Association (GBTA) announced dates for the Global Travel Professional™ (GTP) examination for Hong Kong and Gurgaon, India

Hong Kong/Gurgaon, 2014-5-16 — /Travel PR News/ — The Global Business Travel Association (GBTA) — the voice of the global business travel industry — today announced the dates for the Global Travel Professional™ (GTP) examination for Hong Kong and Gurgaon, India.

GBTA’s GTP Certification is designed to raise industry standards, enhance work performance and recognise individuals who demonstrate core competencies essential to the business travel management discipline. Taking the GTP Certification communicates a commitment to one’s career to peers, supervisors and the industry at large. It measures the knowledge demonstrated by business travel professionals in a valid and reliable way, while encouraging professional growth in the field of business travel management.

“After a successful start in Singapore last year when 30 Travel Professionals sat for the exam we are continuing to bring this internationally recognised certification to other key destinations in the Asia Pacific region,” said Welf Ebeling, Vice President, Operations for Asia Pacific. “This would not be possible without the generous sponsorship of Diners Club International whose active support is raising the bar of travel management experience in this fast growing part of the world.”

The exam dates are set for 9th July at the Hong Kong Travel & Tourism Training Centre in Hong Kong and 29th August at the Vivanta by Taj in Gurgaon following the two GBTA India Symposiums in Mumbai and Gurgaon.
