San Diego International Airport celebrated the opening of its first and only common-use lounge, Airspace Lounge

SAN DIEGO, 2015-2-26 — /Travel PR News/ — A ribbon-cutting ceremony was held today officially marking the opening of Airspace Lounge, the first and only common-use lounge at San Diego International Airport (SAN). Located post-security in corridor between Terminal 2 East and Terminal 2 West, the lounge offers panoramic views of the airfield, comfortable seating areas, a full food and bar menu, and shower facilities.

Operated by Swissport, Airspace Lounge is open 365 days a year and available to all SAN passengers for as low as $25 per day; American Express Platinum and Centurion card holders receive complimentary access to the lounge. The lounge also welcomes Admiral’s Club, Japan Airlines, and British Airways members and guests.

“With record numbers of passengers passing through the airport, it’s especially important to provide a first-rate travel experience for each and every passenger,” said Thella F. Bowens. “Airspace Lounge provides passengers traveling with any airline a quiet location to relax, catch their breath and take a break from the busy airport experience outside.”

In addition to SAN, Airspace Lounge has locations open at Baltimore Washington International Airport (BWI), Cleveland Hopkins International Airport (CLE) and John F. Kennedy International Airport’s (JFK) Terminal 5.
