VIENNA, Austria, 2016-Feb-15 — /Travel PR News/ — Robert Heusmann assumes responsibility for fleet planning at Austrian Airlines, Lufthansa and SWISS as of March 1, 2016

Robert Heusmann will assume the position as Head of Fleet Planning of the hub airlines Austrian Airlines, Lufthansa and SWISS effective March 1, 2016. In this capacity he will be in charge of short- and medium-term fleet planning at the Frankfurt, Munich, Vienna and Zurich flight hubs. He will carry out his duties on behalf of the Hub-Airlines of Lufthansa Group from his office in Vienna. At present, Robert Heusmann is responsible for the integration project of the Embraer 195 fleet at Austrian Airlines. He will continue managing this project until June 1, 2016.

After studying economics, Robert Heusmann (40) started his professional career at Lufthansa in 2001 as a trainee and later as an expert for air fares. In 2005, he transferred to network control, where he was responsible for pricing- and yield-management. Born in Hessen, Germany, and now living in Austria, Heusmann’s first management position was in 2007 when he was appointed to serve as Team Manager for Revenue Management at the Munich hub. In 2010 he was named Director Business Services & Human Resources, with responsibility for human resources policy for the Region Africa and Middle East based in Dubai. In 2012, he relocated to Vienna, where he worked as Senior Director Revenue Management for Austrian Airlines. In 2014 Robert Heusmann took over the responsibility of Corporate Functions (personnel, finance) of Tyrolean Airways. Following the merger of Tyrolean with Austrian Airlines, he was put in charge of the prestigious Embraer Phase-In project of Austrian Airlines. Robert Heusmann is married and loves to attend balls.
