FESTIVALS, ENTERTAINMENT AND FOOD DRAW MORE VISITORS TO OAKLAND

Oakland, CA, 2015-7-20 — /Travel PR News/ — New businesses and throngs of new visitors are making the City’s Jack London Square a thriving, growing center of commerce and entertainment, the Port of Oakland reported in a new video released today.

Commercial real estate occupancy rate is 96% the Port said in the two-minute feature that highlights business and recreational opportunities at the historic Square. Hundreds of thousands of revelers are visiting each year for everything from kayaking and sailing to free movies and Friday night dances.

What’s the measure of success? While the Port said it does not track visitor totals, parking at its garages increased 22 percent in fiscal 2015 alone. Ridership on the San Francisco Bay Ferry that stops at Jack London Square is up nearly 50 percent in the past two years.
