Not one, not two, but three awards for Jersey’s luxury hotels

2012-11-28 — /travelprnews.com/ — The Luxury Jersey Hotels group is finishing the year on a high as its members celebrate three coveted industry and consumer awards, reinforcing Jersey’s position as a centre for excellence in hospitality.

Grand Jersey’s Executive Head Chef Richard Allen was rewarded with a highly-acclaimed Hotel Catey ‘Chef of the Year’ award this month, joining The Royal Yacht Hotel’s Spa Sirène, voted ‘Best Spa in the Channel Islands’ by the Good Spa Guide in September, and The Atlantic Hotel which was named ‘Most Excellent Waterside Hotel’ by Condé Nast Johansens at their annual awards ceremony earlier in November.

Receiving such prestigious industry and consumer awards at a national level represents a significant accolade for the three local hotels, up against strong UK competition for the chance to be voted leaders in their field. Commenting on their Hotel Catey award for Executive Head Chef Richard Allen, Grand Jersey General Manager Eamonn Elliott said: ‘It’s amazing and very well deserved to see Richard’s hard work and dedication to excellence recognised at a national level with such a coveted industry award.’

Nigel Robson, Group Chief Executive of The Royal Yacht Hotel expressed his thoughts on the hotel’s recent spa award, saying: ‘We’re exceptionally proud of the Spa Sirène team, and to have their expertise rewarded by the UK’s independent Good Spa Guide means a great deal to us.’

The Atlantic Hotel’s ‘Most Excellent Waterside Hotel’ accolade marks the fourth occasion the hotel has been the recipient of a major award from Condé Nast Johansens. The acclaimed annual awards were created to acknowledge, reward and celebrate excellence, and are widely accepted to represent some of the industry’s finest standards in luxury and independent accommodation.
