Millions of LED lights for the 25th anniversary of Columbus Zoo’s Wildlights

POWELL, Ohio, 2013-11-4 — /travelprnews.com/ — We’ve decked the halls, trees and everything but the animals with millions of LED lights for the 25th anniversary of our Wildlights display, efficiently powered by AEP Ohio, beginning Nov. 22, 2013. Guests will have more time to visit Wildlights as the event has been extended through Jan. 5, 2014.

The Zoo’s Character Ambassadors, presented by Donatos, will host the stars of the longest running and highest rated holiday special in television history – Rudolph and his friends, Hermey the Elf and Bumble the Abominable Snow Monster. These special guests will visit Wildlights from Nov. 22 – 24 only.

Featuring a new Holiday Light Show at Conservation Lake, Wildlights will delight guests of all ages. The eight-minute show features new songs, new elements and 25 animated trees. Shows will take place every 30 minutes beginning nightly at 5:30 p.m.

In addition to other Wildlights favorites, Santa and Mrs. Claus will be back at the Holiday Village. Visitors can meet the jolly ol’ elf himself and get photos taken with him before decorating a cookie with Mrs. Claus in her kitchen. Additional fees may apply.

Wildlights festivities take place Sunday through Thursday from 5 to 9 p.m. and Friday and Saturday from 5 to 10 p.m. beginning Nov. 22, 2013 through Jan. 5, 2014. Wildlights is closed the evenings of Nov. 28, Dec. 24 and Dec. 25. Regular admission rates apply.
