Marbling Fest At Atatürk Airport!

2012-07-27 — /travelprnews.com/ — Passengers traveling through Istanbul Atatürk Airport International Terminal operated by TAV Airports met with TAV Marbling Art Workshop and instructor Eda Özbekkangay. The exhibition showcasing the marbling works of TAV employees is on display during Ramadan at TAV Gallery Istanbul.

Organized by TAV Airports, a global brand in the airport operations sector, the event brought TAV Marbling Workshop, consisting of TAV Group employees, and instructor Eda Özbekkangay together with the passengers and presented them marbling experience. The marbling art applied were given to the passengers, who enjoyed this experience at Ataturk Airport, as a present. Additionally, the exhibition, which is composed of the works of TAV Marbling Workshop, consisting of TAV Group employees, led by Eda Özbekkangay for a year, is open for visitors throughout the month of Ramadan at TAV Gallery Istanbul located in international terminal.

We added marbling art for the first time last year to our TAV Workshop activities, which reveal the skills of our employees in different branches of art like music, dance, painting and photography. Today we introduce TAV Marbling Workshop that came together with the instructorship of Eda Özbekkangay, one of the masters of this art in Turkey to our passengers. TAV Gallery was opened at Istanbul Ataturk Airport in 2007, and subsequently it was established in Ankara Esenboga and Izmir Adnan Menderes Airport International Terminal both of which are operated by TAV Airports. TAV Gallery has hosted many exhibitions from Turkey and abroad to date as the culture and arts platform carried out by TAV Airports.

Brought into being in 2011, aiming to contribute to the personal developments of TAV Group’s employees; TAV Workshop activities continue to its projects with the participation of approximately 500 TAV Group employees in branches of music, dance, photography, and painting.

Born in 1977, in Üsküdar, at the Uzbeks’ dervish convent; Özbekkangay was a student of Hikmet Barutçugil and worked with Niyazi Sayın, Feridun Özgören,  Sadrettin Özçimi, Alparslan Babaoğlu, Sedat Altınöz, etc. Özbekkangay held her first exhibition in 2004 and has her works showcased in many other exhibitions in Turkey and abroad.
