LOT in Olympic Colours

Warsaw, 2012-07-20 — /travelprnews.com/ — LOT’s Boeing 737 with the registration number SP – LLG received a special livery for the coming London Summer Olympics. The rear portion of the fuselage was painted on both sides with the LOT’s title as the “Official Air Carrier of the Polish Olympic Team – London 2012” and the symbol of the Polish Olympic Committee.

The aircraft has been decorated for the duration of the XXX Olympics in London. It took its first flight in these colours on 27 June to Wroc?aw and then to London. The plane with the Olympic colours will be the vehicle for travel by the Olympic Team and fans. The aircraft will carry out flights to European cities.
The Olympics are among the most important sporting events in the world, and are a perfect opportunity to promote Poland abroad, says Leszek Chorzewski, LOT Polish Airlines Press Officer. LOT has supported out athletes for many years. It is a great honour for our company to be the official airline of the national team, he adds.

The design for the special “Olympic” livery of the aircraft was presented during the signing of the partnership agreement for the Polish air carrier with the Polish Olympic Committee in May.The special livery is an initiative by LOT alone, which, as the national airline, is highly committed to promoting Poland.

LOT Polish Airlines has regularly cooperated with the Polish Olympic Committee since 1972 when the summer Olympics were held in Munich. The Polish air carrier has also accompanied athletes during Winter Olympics including those held in Vancouver.
