Live from Palm Springs: New Live Cam of Forever Marilyn

Palm Springs, CA, 2012-08-17 — /travelprnews.com/ — A new web cam has been installed showing a live view of the 26-foot tall “Forever Marilyn” sculpture located in downtown Palm Springs. Visitors from all over the world can now log on to www.VisitPalmSprings.com and click on the “Live Web Cam of Marilyn Sculpture” to see the new tourist attraction in real time. The live web cam also gives viewers a peek into the downtown experience and watch Marilyn fans taken photos with her.

“Since her arrival in June, Forever Marilyn has been a huge hit with residents and visitors alike and this new web cam is a way for people to check the sculpture out live,” said Mary Jo Ginther, Director of the Palm Springs Bureau of Tourism. “It’s very cool to watch fans in front of Marilyn snapping photos and experiencing this wonderful new tourist attraction in downtown and it’s just more proof that Palm Springs truly is like no place else!”

The Forever Marilyn Sculpture is located on the corner of Palm Canyon Drive and Tahquitz Canyon Way where she will be on display through June 2013.  The dramatic statue by American artist Seward Johnson represents one of the most famous images of Marilyn Monroe, taken from the film “The Seven Year Itch.”
