Lincoln Park Zoo launches new ghost tours highlighting its spooky history

Interactive Tour Highlights Spooky History of Lincoln Park Zoo

Chicago, 2014-9-17 — /Travel PR News/ — Beginning Oct. 2, guests will have an opportunity to see Lincoln Park Zoo like they never have seen it before – through the eyes of the undead. Thursdays in October, Ursula Bielski of Chicago Hauntings will be giving tours of the zoo, enlightening guests to the spooky history nearly 150-year-old Lincoln Park Zoo.

From mass graves to alleged mob activity, Bielski, a paranormal investigator, uses electronic voice phenomena (EVP) and Chicago history to identify and explain some of the eerie sounds and sights at the zoo once the sun goes down. The interactive tour will give visitors a chance to hear EVP recordings from around the zoo and see inexplicable photos taken at the zoo afterhours while also providing an intriguing historical tour of the current zoo and what stood there years ago.

Tours are available Thursdays throughout Oct. (2, 9, 16, 23, and 30) from 8 p.m. – 9:30 p.m. Tickets to Lincoln Park Zoo’s Ghost Tours are $28 ($24 for members) and are available for purchase at www.lpzoo.org. Due to the nature of the programming, ticketholders must be at least 8-years-old and accompanied by a guardian. Snacks will be available for purchase throughout the evening. For guests who are 21 and older, beer and wine will also be available.
