Kings Island hosts the 13th annual JDRF3k Walk to Cure Diabetes on June 1

KINGS ISLAND TO HOST 13TH ANNUAL JUVENILE DIABETES RESEARCH FOUNDATION 3K WALK JUNE 1

KINGS ISLAND, Ohio, 2013-05-27 — /travelprnews.com/ — Lace up your sneakers and head to Kings Island Saturday, June 1, as the 364-acre amusement and waterpark hosts the 13th annual JDRF3k Walk to Cure Diabetes. JDRF is the world’s largest charitable contributor and advocate for diabetes research and is committed to helping those who struggle with Type 1 diabetes to look forward to living longer, healthier lives.

The Kings Island JDRF 3k Walk features a course around the park which offers unique views of many popular attractions, including the world’s largest animatronic dinosaur park, Dinosaurs Alive! Walk day registration and packet pickup begins at 7:00am, with the walk beginning at 8:00am. Following the walk, there will be food, kids’ activities, entertainment, music, health screenings and more.

Participants raising pledges can earn a variety of exciting prizes, including single-day tickets to Kings Island.
Since 2001, the JDRF Walk at Kings Island has raised more than $8 million.
