- International operations at Kochi Airport move into Terminal 3 from today

KOCHI, India, 2017-Apr-20 — /Travel PR News/ — Jet Airways, India’s full-service, premiere international airline, today commenced operations from the all new state-of-the-art international Terminal 3 (T3) at Cochin International Airport (CIAL).
Jet Airways’ flight 9W 575, arriving at 1340 Hrs., from Abu Dhabi to Kochi became the airline’s first international flight to arrive at Kochi’s modern and spacious Terminal 3.
Jet Airways will operate a total of 6 flights daily from the new international terminal, with services to Doha, Sharjah, Dammam, Abu Dhabi, Muscat and Dubai, providing guests superior connectivity and comfort.
As one of the largest carriers operating to/from Gulf, together with strategic partner Etihad Airways, Terminal 3 at Cochin Airport will serve as yet another international gateway in the airline’s vast network. Jet Airways will provide seamless connectivity to guests from the Kerala region, looking to travel to Gulf and several destinations beyond via the airline’s codeshare partners.
Terminal 3 features 84 check-in counters at three check-in islands, together with 40 counters each for immigration and emigration in the Arrivals and Departure sections.

Covering over 1.5 million sq. ft., the new international terminal is designed to replicate the architecture of Kerala’s well-known temples. Planned to handle peak hour capacity of 4000 passengers, Terminal 3 is a two-level structure; arrivals being handled at Ground level and departures, at the First level.
CIAL’s new Terminal 3 also boasts of a state-of-the art baggage handling system with four computer tomography (CT) scanners, 3000 cameras for surveillance and five health check counters. The terminal also a 33,000 sq. ft. duty free shop, food court, prayer rooms and 10 customs counter for the convenience and comfort of guests using the terminal.
