Indianapolis Airport Authority appoints Michael Huber senior director of commercial enterprise

INDIANAPOLIS, 2012-08-02 — /travelprnews.com/ — The Indianapolis Airport Authority (IAA) announced today that it has selected Michael Huber to fill the open position of senior director of commercial enterprise. Huber is departing his current role as Indianapolis Deputy Mayor to take the position, which is responsible for managing the Indianapolis International Airport’s (IND) evenuegenerating operations including parking, attracting new air service to the city, and commercial development of airport property and facilities.
Huber will join the IAA effective September 4, 2012.

“The IAA will strongly benefit from Michael’s experience and proven ability to lead economic and business development,” said Bob Duncan, executive director for the IAA. “He will oversee areas vital to the IAA’s strategy of further strengthening IND’s important role in our regional economy, including both air service and non-airline revenue
development opportunities.”

Huber has served as Deputy Mayor for Economic Development since March 2010. Prior to joining the Ballard administration as Director of Enterprise Development in January 2008, Michael worked in state government as Deputy Commissioner of the Indiana Department of Administration and Deputy Director of the Office of Management and Budget (OMB) Government Efficiency and Financial Planning group. Michael has an MBA from the Kelley School of Business at Indiana University-Bloomington (2005) and a BS in Social Policy from Northwestern University (1998).
