HMSHost brings American Craft Tavern at John Glenn Columbus International Airport

COLUMBUS, 2017-Jul-17 — /Travel PR News/ — The popularity of craft beer and creative pub fare inspired global restaurateur HMSHost to open American Craft Tavern, a new restaurant and bar, in Concourse C at John Glenn Columbus International Airport (CMH).

HMSHost and The Boston Beer Company, brewer of Samuel Adams beers, have come together to open American Craft Tavern, which brings together authentic American beer, wine, and spirits in a modern, industrial themed bar setting. This new restaurant opened with the goal of satisfying passengers’ cravings with bold cuisine and varieties of Samuel Adams beers including Rebel Juiced IPA, along with local craft beers that reflect the brewing flair of the Columbus region.

“American Craft Tavern is a unique, refreshing option for Delta Air Lines and Vacation Express passengers,” said Elaine Roberts, President & CEO of the Columbus Regional Airport Authority. “Once again HMSHost delivers on a shared commitment to provide CMH customers with regional flavors and the best airport experience possible.”

“It is very exciting to have the opportunity to introduce American Craft Tavern to travelers at John Glenn International,” said HMSHost Vice President of Business Development Kent Vanden Oever. ”American Craft Tavern gives travelers the chance to experience the richness of American craft brewing with unique flights of beer along with exciting food pairings before they take to the skies.”

“We are excited to work with HMSHost on this new American Craft Tavern to offer travelers a unique culinary and craft beer experience,” said Jennifer Glanville, Brewer at Samuel Adams. “Craft beer lovers will have the opportunity to try a variety of Sam Adams beers along with styles from some of our fellow craft brewers who are local to Columbus.”

Passengers can expect more new restaurant and bar choices in Concourse C, replacing Johnny Rockets and Buckeye Hall of Fame Café in the future. Additional food and beverage options will be opening in the airport’s Concourse C, including Columbus hometown favorite Donatos pizza, which will have a full bar and a quick-serve option, and a new HMSHost location, PGA Tour Grill, which focuses on healthy eating for an active lifestyle. The existing Starbucks store on Concourse C will be rebuilt and expanded.
