HALLOWEEN HAUNT OPENS SEPTEMBER 21 AT KINGS ISLAND

Halloween Haunt features over 500 gruesome creatures, 12 spine-chilling haunted attractions and thrill rides

KINGS ISLAND, 2012-09-10 — /travelprnews.com/ — Every weekend this fall, Kings Island gets transformed. And so will you.

Now in its sixth season, Halloween Haunt is a veritable playground of terror featuring over 500 gruesome creatures, 12 spine-chilling haunted attractions and 20 thrill-inducing rides.

This year, the bloodcurdling horror and nightmarish madness of Halloween Haunt will feature an all-new thriller maze, Madame Fatale’s Cavern of Terror, a punk rock stomp with Blood Drums, and two new fear zones in Grimm Boulevard and Freak Street.

Returning haunted attractions include CarnEvil, Club Blood, CornStalkers, Cut Throat Cove, Holiday Horror, Massacre Manor, Mysteria, Slaughter House, Tombstone Terror-Tory, Urgent Scare and Wolf Pack.

Also back by popular demand for an unprecedented fourth season is “Hot Blooded”, a live stage show in the International Showplace Theatre. A second live show, “Graveyard Shift”, makes its Halloween Haunt debut in the Festhaus.

Kings Island’s most popular thrill-ride attractions are open during Halloween Haunt. Favorites include The Beast, Diamondback, Firehawk, Vortex, Drop Tower, Invertigo, Delirium, Flight Deck, The Racer, Flight of Fear, Adventure Express, Backlot Stunt Coaster, Monster, Scrambler Dodgem, Zephyr, Shake, Rattle & Roll, Boo Blasters on Boo Hill and WindSeeker.

Halloween Haunt will begin September 21 and run every Friday and Saturday night through October 27 from 6:00pm until 1:00am (except for September 22 when the park opens to the public at 7:00pm).

Friday nights feature the “Wall of Monsters” when the gates to the underworld open at 6:00pm. Only the bravest of souls will make it past the vast array of vampires, werewolves, mummies, zombies, undertakers, clowns and assorted ghouls and monsters they’ll encounter on their way into the park.

The park opens at 11:00am on Saturdays, with Halloween Haunt beginning at 6:00pm. The rides and attractions in the award-winning Planet Snoopy kids’ area close at 5:00pm on Saturdays when the transformation into Halloween Haunt begins. Halloween Haunt does not take place on Sundays, when park hours are from 11:00am until 7:00pm.

Halloween Haunt is the most immersive horror experience in the Midwest and is not for the feint of heart. This in-your-face horror experience continues to break new ground and is filled with terrifying mazes, disturbing clowns in 3D and outrageous “live” shows.

Parents, be advised. Halloween Haunt includes graphic scenes, suggestive themes and intense imagery and is intended for mature audiences; not recommended for children.
