LONDON, 2015-10-30 — /Travel PR News/ — Gatwick Airport’s commitment to the local region has been recognised at the Sussex Women in Business Awards where Gatwick’s Head of Community Engagement, Hannah Staunton, was recognised for her ‘Contribution to the Community’.
The awards ceremony was attended by more than 270 guests at a gala dinner at the Cavendish Hotel in Eastbourne.
The Sussex Women in Business Awards covers the whole of the Sussex County, celebrating the success of today’s very best females at work.
The judges noted the calibre of this year’s nominees, who were independently nominated, was extremely high.
The ‘Contribution to the Community’ award went to the business which demonstrates ‘the difference it has made to the immediate community and the wider Sussex community during the 12 months to September 2015’.
Gatwick’s community engagement team is involved with an incredibly broad range of projects to support the social, charitable and economic life of the fantastic communities Gatwick interacts with in the region.
Commenting on the award Hannah Staunton said:

A key highlight over the past 12 months has been our long-term partnership with Chestnut Tree House, Sussex’s children’s hospice, which has been incredibly rewarding.
