To celebrate the rare occurrence of four full moons in a season, the third of which is known as a “blue moon,” the all-villa Resort in Mauritius has created a special Once in a Blue Moon wedding package to offer one couple an exclusive ceremony of events to celebrate their big day.
Beginning in the picturesque garden of the Resort’s Royal Villa, the Once in a Blue Moon wedding package will see the bride and groom serenaded by live musicians as they walk along the aisle of the 100 metre (325 foot) jetty to a waiting pirogue, while absorbing breathtaking views of the Indian Ocean lagoon. From here, they will sail to a private island for the wedding ceremony, where tropical flowers and a hand-crafted pergola create a paradise scene against the backdrop of the turquoise ocean.
After the ceremony, the couple will enjoy a Champagne speed boat cruise before arriving for their wedding night at the Resort’s Presidential Suite, where the wedding dinner will take place on a transparent platform above the Suite’s private swimming pool.
To ensure the treasured memories are captured, a professional photographer will follow the day’s events to produce a personalized wedding video and photograph album.
The Once in a Blue Moon wedding package is available to only one couple and is available for ERU 32,000, which includes six nights’ accommodation in a Beach Villa and the wedding night in the Presidential Suite.
