Four Seasons Hotel Macao’s Spa Cotai Strip introduced ‘Total Wellness’ package based on the ‘going green’ initiative of Four Seasons Spas worldwide

To encourage healthy living, the Spa at Four Seasons Hotel Macao has embraced the concept of “Total Wellness” that encompasses healthful food, rejuvenating Spa treatments, and personal care at home

Macau, China, 2013-09-11 — /travelprnews.com/ — The Spa at Four Seasons Hotel Macao, Cotai Strip has embraced a concept called “Total Wellness,” offering a holistic approach to healthful living through three components: healthy, nutritious food; rejuvenating Spa treatments; and personal care at home.

“Total Wellness builds on the ‘going green’ initiative of Four Seasons Spas worldwide,” says Alice Leung, director of spa at Four Seasons Hotel Macao. “Utilizing the most natural ingredients, from the food we serve to the spa products we use, we aim to pamper guests from head to toe, rejuvenating bodies, minds and souls.”

Recognizing the integral role good food plays in healthy lifestyles, the Spa invited the Hotel’s Executive Chef Klaus Kallweit to specially create a nourishing three-course set menu that carefully balances nutrition, quality and taste. The first such menu is now available.

To whet their appetites, guests can choose between organic mixed greens with roasted pumpkin, goat cheese, toasted nuts and seeds; or lobster claw salad with pomelo, young papaya, organic lettuce, toasted peanuts and kaffir lime. The main course includes grilled cod filet with organic heirloom tomato and red onion salad, kalamata olives, fresh parsley and mint; or chilled shredded organic chicken, ginger and scallion lo mein. The flavourful meal is then topped off with fresh fruits salad with Chinese flower wine and lemon sherbet; or bitter chocolate cake with raspberry ice cube. The set menu is priced at MOP 388.00 per person. Menu selections will be revised on a monthly basis.

Another key component of Total Wellness encompasses regular Spa treatments. Guests undergoing this program at the Spa will experience three distinct steps: Relax, Retreat and Reset. First, guests will unwind amid the serene surroundings of the relaxation area, enjoying the luxurious Spa facilities to prepare the body and spirit for the therapy that follows.

Attuned to the needs of each guest, the Spa’s experienced therapists will suggest an appropriate treatment targeting specific issues, allowing the guest to fully retreat from stress and relish the solitude within to reset the body and spirit.

Practicing personal care at home is also an important pillar of the Total Wellness cycle. Choosing the right products is paramount, and the Spa has recently added Organic Pharmacy products to its Spa menu. A luxurious organic skincare brand, Organic Pharmacy has developed a range of personal care products based on homeopathic remedies that aim to revitalize the skin, bringing it back into harmony.

In addition, the Spa at Four Seasons Hotel Macao has launched the Pure Organic package in September. Priced at MOP 1,500.00, this completely natural regimen consists of the Cleopatra Body Scrub and a Rose and Jasmine Aromatic Body Massage. The Spa also offers organic manicures and pedicures at MOP 320.00 and MOP 450.00 respectively. Each consists of a Cleopatra Massage on the hands or feet, nail shaping, and polish application.
