Forbes Travel Guide for 2017 recognizes Acqualina Resort & Spa as a Five Star Hotel for the fifth year in a row

SUNNY ISLES BEACH, FL, 2017-Feb-28 — /Travel PR News/ — The Five-Star Acqualina Resort & Spa, Acqualina Resort & Spa cements itself as the quintessential luxury travel destination in Florida by garnering several coveted back-to-back travel awards. Today (February 22, 2017), Forbes Travel Guide officially announced that Acqualina has been recognized as a Five Star Hotel, making it the fifth year in a row the luxury Miami resort receives this prestigious, ultra-exclusive industry accolade. Acqualina is one of only five hotels in Miami and one of only 175 hotels worldwide to be awarded a Five-Star ranking this year. Properties who receive this extraordinary achievement are determined by those who demonstrate impeccable and flawless service, exceptional amenities and an overall superior guest experience.

To further reinforce today’s exciting announcement, Forbes Travel Guide also awarded Acqualina Spa by ESPA with a Five Star Spa rating. The Miami luxury Spa is one of three Miami spas to receive this honor. In addition, Acqualina Spa by ESPA is one of only 56 Five Star Spas globally.

Acqualina Spa by ESPA has recently unveiled a new Royal Spa Suite. The 820-square-foot suite will complement the existing 20,000-square-foot, two-story tranquil spa sanctuary and provide the ultimate oasis for guests seeking the highest level of privacy, extravagance and relaxation. Acqualina Resort & Spa has also introduced a new toddler balance bike program through a partnership with Strider Sports, complementing the resort’s family club and children’s center including the AcquaMarine program.

Forbes Travel Guide is the gold standard for luxury hospitality ratings worldwide, and announces its Global Star Ratings yearly, listing the world’s finest hotels, restaurants and spas. Only properties that meet Forbes’ hospitality standards — the most stringent in the industry — achieve a Five Star, Four Star or Recommended rating. Professional inspectors check into and check out every property they rate regularly, evaluating more than 500 rigorous criteria to determine a Star Rating that takes the guess work out of travel planning and establishes a global benchmark for luxury travel.

“We are thrilled that Acqualina is awarded and recognized as a Five-Star rating for the fifth year in a row; which highlights our most important mission as a property, which is striving to deliver the most outstanding personalized service to guests. We are constantly improving our programs, guestroom décor, spa offerings and user technology to deliver a seamlessly luxurious experience for our Miami spa resort guests, whether they are multigenerational families or a couple visiting our hotel or spa,” states CEO and Partner of Acqualina Resort & Spa Deborah Yager Fleming.

In addition to the Forbes Travel Guide announcement, Acqualina Resort & Spa also received the AAA Five Diamond Award for 2017 last month; Acqualina has maintained this Five Diamond Award since 2009. Each year, AAA reviews more than 28,000 hotels across North America and the Caribbean including resorts, historic inns and bed and breakfasts, where only 0.4 percent of all hotels achieve the AAA Five Diamond status. Acqualina was also recently recognized with a top ranking as TripAdvisor’s Top Luxury Beachfront Hotel in the Continental US, which is awarded to the top 1% of all hotels on the site based on reviews and opinions from millions of travelers. The user-generated site features Acqualina Resort & Spa in an elite pool of the “Top 25 Luxury Hotels” in the United States. Finally, Acqualina has also been recognized as the #1 Hotel in Florida and #1 Hotel in Miami Beach by US News & World Report’s 7th annual Best Hotels Awards. It was also included in the Top 10 Luxury Hotels in the United States. The US News and World Report’s Best Hotels evaluate more than 3,000 luxury properties across the United States, the Caribbean, Canada and Mexico. The methodology accounts for both expert and guest sentiment, in addition to the industry accolades a hotel receives – the combination of which helps determine each hotel’s rank.

To celebrate the latest accolades, Acqualina invites guests to book the Five Star Experience Package. Miami Beach 5 star resort guests will receive the fifth night free when booking a five-night getaway in a Deluxe Intracoastal Room and can indulge in other lavish amenities including a special welcome amenity, daily buffet breakfast for two by Il Mulino New York, one 50-minute treatment at Acqualina Spa by ESPA, one bottle of champagne upon arrival, complimentary Internet access and access to the award-winning AcquaMarine children’s program.
