Denmark to host ISA World StandUp Paddle and Paddleboard Championship in September 2017

Copenhagen, Denmark, 2016-Aug-31 — /Travel PR News/ — Participants of the ISA World StandUp Paddle (SUP) and Paddleboard Championship in September 2017 will be surfing the waves of the Danish oceans in both Cold Hawaii in Klitmøller and Copenhagen, the capital of Denmark, as the ISA World Championship will be a dual location event.

Cold Hawaii in Thy is a world known surfing spot, in fact, one of the best in Europe! Cold Hawaii includes 31 registered surf spots, all located on the West Coast of Thy in North Jutland in an area of authentic splendour. It is a ‘must go’ for anyone loving the calming sound of the waves, windswept hair, salty sea breezes and stacks of fresh air! Klitmøller is the “Capital” of Cold Hawaii.

Cold Hawaii is a stunning place to visit – all year round. Whether surfing is your hobby, your life or neither – there’s always something to do. Because of its fine windsurfing and surfing opportunities and its rather changing weather conditions on the top of the European Continent, the area has been dubbed “Cold Hawaii”. Wind, wave and reed conditions makes the area absolutely perfect for surfers from near and far and in recent years, Cold Hawaii has played host big surfing events, such as the Cold Hawaii PWA World Cup in windsurfing – and now the 2017 ISA World StandUp Paddle and Paddleboard Championship.

“There is a special vibe in Denmark that just makes surfing so much more fun even when you are just catching your first wave. One of the unique things about Denmark is that the destination possesses so many different conditions and qualities, that it allows for every imaginable type of surfing. You’ve got stand up paddle surfing which is awesome in the waves, but also in flat water in the Danish fjords. Then there is windsurfing and kitesurfing which has excellent conditions in Denmark too due to the natural energy in the air,” says Casper Steinfath.

“With more than7300 km of coastline in Denmark and always less than one hours drive to the sea, there are so many opportunities for surfing in Denmark,” Steinfath continues.
