CLIA opens 2017 Travel Agency Membership program enrollment

Washington, DC, 2016-Sep-13 — /Travel PR News/ — Cruise Lines International Association (CLIA) has opened enrollment for its 2017 Travel Agency Membership program. CLIA Membership raises the professional credibility and reputation within the leisure travel industry and is designed to help members increase their industry knowledge, network and profitability.

This year, CLIA updated and expanded its membership offerings to provide members with the best benefits to build their business. The new program has been simplified, and travel agency’s interested in joining can choose one of the following membership levels:

  • Travel Agency Membership
  • Premier Agency Membership

Travel Agencies who join CLIA in 2017 will have access to CLIA’s newest member benefits, including:

Career Seascape: CLIA’s professional development platform provides a wide array of training opportunities for CLIA Members to continuously grow their industry knowledge. CLIA recently launched a new entry-level Certified Cruise Counsellor certification and now offers career counseling services for members who have questions or need assistance with choosing the best professional development options.

Cruise Finder: Exclusively for CLIA members, Cruise Finder provides ship information, itineraries and onboard offerings across CLIA’s Global Cruise Line Members.

New Commission Opportunities: CLIA partnered with other travel-related companies, like Marriott, Samsonite and Carey International to provide commissions to CLIA Members.

Auto Renew: A easier and more streamlined application process for enrolling and renewing.

EMBARC ID: Entitles CLIA members to priority invitation and confirmation for ship inspections, seminars at sea and FAM trips, as well as access to CLIA member benefits, including Cruise Line Member and Executive Partner commissions. EMBARC ID’s will now be mailed directly to Agents following Agency approval.
