British Airways offers customers the thrill of getting a free one-way upgrade to First for a limited time

LONDON, 2015-1-26 — /Travel PR News/ — For a limited time lucky customers flying British Airways could enjoy the thrill of getting a free one-way upgrade to First.

The special offer is being given to those buying eligible return flights in the airline’s Club World cabin, from now until March 13, for travel up to April 11, 2015.

That means they could be winging their way to scores of destinations around the world, reclining in luxurious fully-flat beds, sipping champagne and enjoying fine dining at 39,000 feet.

Stephen Humphreys, British Airways’ head of UK&I sales and marketing said: “For those who haven’t ‘turned left’ on an aircraft and flown in First before, they’re in for a real treat.

“This is a brilliant offer that gives people the opportunity to fly in the understated luxury of First, enjoyed by the few sitting at the very front of the plane, for the cost of a business class ticket. We’re sure they’ll love the experience and want to fly in First again.”

British Airways offers flights in First to more than thirty destinations around world. Because of the frequency of flights, customers are more likely to get their free on-way upgrade on the following routes: New York, Washington, Miami, Los Angeles, Seattle, Boston, Johannesburg, Dubai, Singapore and Hong Kong.

Customers can make use of all the First facilities, from the fantastic lounge, to special concierge service.

When travelling in First, customers can check in using a dedicated area at Heathrow’s Terminal 5 and check in up to three 32kg bags, thanks to the generous baggage allowance.

Once through Fast Track security they can access the airline’s prestigious Concorde Room lounge at Heathrow’s Terminal 5 and New York’s JFK terminal seven, plus access to arrivals lounges.

After using the Elemis Spa to spruce up and pre-flight dining in the Concorde Room they can then enjoy priority boarding. The First cabin offers privacy and comfort in contemporary British style at the front of the aircraft, designed to look like a private jet.

Each customer can relax into one of the 14 individual spacious suites in a herringbone layout, each with its own 6’ 6” fully-flat bed, their own personal wardrobe and a 15 inch wide video screen for hundreds of hours of top in-flight entertainment.

With ambient mood lighting and special electronic blinds, customers can dine in style and chose from an a la carte menu and a selection of fine wines and champagnes delivered with personalised service from the dedicated cabin crew.

And when it comes time to sleep, the turn down service will transform their sumptuous seat into fully-flat bed, with luxurious quilted mattress, crisp white cotton duvet, pillow, and cotton pyjamas to change into.

Upgrades must be requested at the time of booking, and terms and conditions apply. To book Club World tickets eligible for the free one-way upgrade, customers can visit www.ba.com/upgrade for more information and  book via a travel agent or call British Airways on  0844 493 0787.

British Airways was the world’s first commercial airline to introduce fully-flat bed in First class in 1996. The latest version of the luxurious cabin will be unveiled later this year when it makes its debut on the first of British Airways’ Boeing 787-9 Dreamliners.
