Bath Tourism Plus announced the dates for Bath Christmas Market 2014

BATH, UK, 2014-7-29 — /Travel PR News/ — As we bask in the hottest days of the year so far, it’s hard to believe that it’s only 150 days until Christmas. But, like a team of Santa’s elves, the organisers of the Bath Christmas Market, Bath Tourism Plus, work year round to organise the UK’s favourite Christmas Market. This year’s dates are Thursday 27 November – Sunday 14 December 2014.

Regularly voted amongst the most popular events in the UK, the 18-day Christmas shopping extravaganza is the biggest Christmas Shopping event in the South West and consists of more than 170 beautifully decorated wooden chalets in the heart of Bath’s World Heritage Site.

This year there will be lots of new and exciting stallholders from across the South West. In keeping with Bath Christmas Market’s tradition of being distinctively British, each chalet will be selling a variety of high-quality artisan products.

Over 70% of stallholders are businesses from Bath and the surrounding region, and 60% of goods available at the market are handmade in the UK.

Products include handmade Christmas decorations (including the enclosed gift from Berserks Glassworks™), personalised gifts, hand-made toys, festive food and drink, local artwork and designer jewellery to name but a few.

The Bath Christmas Market has a romantic atmosphere and attracts thousands of visitors from across the UK. Set in the picturesque streets surrounding Bath Abbey, there couldn’t be a more perfect and magical setting for a Christmas Market. The city also boasts a unique mix of independents, designer boutiques and high street brands.

But there are many other wonderful festive treats in store in the run up to Christmas.  Bath’s Christmas lightswill be switched on Wednesday 12th November. Switching on the lights marks the start of Bath’s Christmas shopping season and is the perfect opportunity for shoppers to find that special gift.

Back by popular demand, Bath on Ice is a wonderful addition to the city’s winter festivities plus this year’sChristmas Pantomime at The Theatre Royal is Cinderella featuring Dani Harmer, Melanie Walters and Jon Monie.

There will also be a Festive Lantern Procession at The Holburne Museum of Art and a Christmas Grotto at SouthGate.
