Bath announces special treats to please every type of Mum this Mother’s Day

BATH, UK, 2017-Mar-07 — /Travel PR News/ — With Mother’s Day (26 March) fast-approaching, Bath knows that no two mothers are the same and has prepared treats to please every type.

From time-honoured treats to more unconventional experiences, Bath is equipped for every mum, whether she be crafty, outdoorsy or simply in need of a little bit of pampering.

The Crafting Mum – Liqueur Making Workshop at Combe Grove

If you’ve always wanted to know how to make your own gin or recreate that zesty Limoncello you sampled in Amalfi, join Combe Grove’s expert Head Barman, Shane Turner, for a masterclass in creating delicious spirit infusions (25 March).  Shane will share his vast knowledge and passion for botanicals whilst you sip on some of his most creative homemade liqueurs, then you’ll make your own tipple with his expert guidance.

Price is £40 and includes 75cl infused liqueur to take away.

The Artsy Mum – Flower workshop, fine food and fabulous surroundings

Celebrate Mother’s Day in style with a unique flower workshop at Ston Easton (23 March).  Enjoy a demonstration of techniques by resident florists Elly Blane and Jude White before tucking into a two-course lunch and a glass of wine.   Put your newfound techniques into action and with the support of expert advice and tips you will leave with your own beautiful arrangement.

Price is £40.00 per person and includes a two-course lunch, glass of wine, coffees and floral arrangement.

The Alternative Mum – Haynes International Motor Museum

For mothers not much in to pampering or afternoon tea scrap the traditional Mother’s Day routine and head to Haynes International Motor Museum for the perfect alternative experience (26 March).  Give your mum the opportunity to feel the wind in her hair as she jumps behind the wheel of a Bentley or goes for a spin in a Ferrari off the track and out on the open road.

The pre-planned route takes you off track onto main roads and lasts 15-20 minutes with a briefing beforehand and time for photographs afterwards.

Prices start at £79.

The Outdoorsy Mum – Prior Park Landscape Garden

Green-fingered mums and little ones can join the friendly garden team as they lift delicate snowdrops out of the earth, divide them and replant them to spread the bed of these spring flowers across the garden (26 March).  After a spot of gardening kids can take home their very own snowdrop for mum and perhaps treat her to cake in the tea shed.

Price for the event is a £1 donation plus admission price which is £7.70 for an adult, £3.80 for a child, and £19.40 for a family.

The Foodie Mum – Mother’s Day Lunch at Woolley Grange

Treat mum to a relaxed Sunday lunch at Woolley Grange and she will receive a special spring gift (26 March).

Many of the beautifully prepared dishes on offer use produce from Woolley’s own garden.  Tuck in to tender roast sirloin of beef, with a red wine jus, roast potatoes and Yorkshire pudding followed by a tempting rhubarb and elderflower trifle with almond brittle.

With no washing up to do afterwards go and enjoy the wonderful 14 acres of gardens or sit by the fire with the paper and a coffee, whilst the children play with the countless toys and games to be found in toy boxes around the hotel.

Price is £25 for 2 courses and £29 for 3 courses; children’s menu also available.
