Bahrain’s Ministry of Transportation and Bahrain Airport Company launch online passenger survey to improve service quality at Bahrain International Airport

Muharraq, Bahrain, 2014-9-22 — /Travel PR News/ — The Ministry of Transportation and Bahrain Airport Company (BAC) have launched an online passengersurvey inviting the public’s feedback and opinions on the type of services, facilities and overall conveniences they would like to experience when traveling throughthe airport.

Effective from today, the passenger survey is accessible via Bahrain Airport Company’s (BAC) website: www.bahrainairport.com/en/survey for a period of one month.  It is part of a series of planned initiatives aimed at improving passenger satisfaction and boosting service quality at Bahrain International Airport (BIA) in line with the Kingdom’s vision of developing the airport into a world-class facility and further strengthening its competitive position as a regional aviation hub.

His Excellency Minister of Transportation and Acting Chief Executive of the Economic Development Board Engineer Kamalbin Ahmed Mohammed said, “This survey marks our commitment to building a new airport terminal that caters to the requirements of its users.  As we work towards achieving key milestones in the project which will be announced later this year, we are keen to hear the opinions of passengers so that we can offer services and facilities that match the expectations of a global traveller”.

The online survey offers the public an opportunity to voice their opinion on the nature of facilities and amenities they would like to see at BIA’s new terminal that will ultimately help improve their travel experience. The survey may be submitted anonymously and will be used as a reference point when introducing key initiatives at BIA to enhance service excellence and provide passengers with superior levels of comfort within a friendly and efficient environment.

Commenting on this initiative, Mr. Mohamed Al Binfalah, CEO of Bahrain Airport Company, explained,“We are focused on establishing a modern, friendly and efficient world-class entry-point into Bahrain that reflects the warm hospitality of its people and the long-standing aviation heritage that makesthis country proud. The airport modernization initiative is a flagship development for the country as a whole and we want to make sure that it is inspired by the people of Bahrain and that they are an integral part of its development process”, he said.

A steering committee representing all relevant stakeholders has been set up to guide the airport modernization initiative. The program falls under the supervision of MoT, represented by BAC, which is responsible for elevating the airport’s operations, infrastructure and services. This is set to improve BIA’s capabilities and cater to the growing number of passengers as well as the changing demands of airlines and other stakeholders.
