Amadeus to help TUI Travel improve its customer service through enhancing personalisation and differentiation of products and services

Madrid, 2014-7-14 — /Travel PR News/ — TUI Travel and Amadeus today announce that they have extended their multi-year agreement and will continue the successful cooperation that gives TUI Travel the technology to access and purchase flights through Amadeus. Under this new deal Amadeus, a leading technology partner for the global travel industry, will help TUI Travel, one of the world’s leading leisure travel groups, operating in over 180 countries with more than 30 million customers, improve its customer service through enhancing personalisation and differentiation of products and services.

Across all key markets Amadeus’s core flight content and innovative search technology will support TUI Travel’s digital transformation strategy to enhance customer experience in the planning and booking phases but also during the trip.

As the Internet revolutionises the travel and tourism industry, holiday shoppers have now a wider choice when selecting their holidays amongst more complex and differentiated airline products. TUI Travel is putting itself at the forefront of this trend and is pushing towards more product personalisation and broader ancillary service offer, with the aim of catering for the needs and interests of leisure travellers. Amadeus’ distribution platform and search technology will be a key enabler for TUI Travel’s long term success.
