AEROFLOT TRAFFIC AND CAPACITY STATISTICS FOR MARCH AND FIRST QUARTER OF 2013

Moscow, 2013-05-07 — /travelprnews.com/ — JSC “Aeroflot – Russian Airlines” summed up traffic and capacity statistics for March and first quarter of 2013.

In March 2013passenger traffic increased by 22.8% against the same period in 2012 and totaled 1,573.2 ths passengers. International passenger traffic rose by 27.7% (+211.0 ths passengers) reaching 972.0 ths passengers. The number of passengers served on domestic lines was 601.2 ths which is 15.6% more (+81.3 ths passengers) compared to the result of March 2012.

Seat load factor in March 2013 rose by 4.6 p.p. compared to March 2012 and reached 79.8%.

Revenue load factor amounted to 65.5% which is 1.6 p.p. higher than the result of March 2012.

Passenger turnover of the company went up by 27.3% against the same period in 2012 and reached 4,728.1 mln passenger-kilometers. International passenger turnover totaled 3,425.6 mln passenger-kilometers which is 31.8% more compared to the same period of 2012. The domestic passenger turnover increased by 16.7% against March 2012 and amounted to 1,302.5 mln passenger-kilometers.

The results for the first quarter of 2013 show that the number of carried passengers increased by 20.1% (+724.0 ths passengers) to become 4,323.5 ths passengers. The seat load factor totaled 77.0%, exceeding the result of the corresponding period of 2012 by 3.3 p.p. Passenger turnover of Aeroflot was 13,020.3 mln passenger-kilometers, which represents 22.6% (+2,403.3 mln pkm) increase compared with the results of the first quarter of 2012.
