LIVERPOOL, UK, 2015-2-26 — /Travel PR News/ — Over seventy flying phobics will take to the skies this weekend from Liverpool’s John Lennon Airport as easyJet’s Fearless Flyer programme comes to the city for the first time.
“We’ve been amazed at the take up from Merseyside and North Wales” says Mark Wein the course Director. “Nearly one in six of us has a fear of flying, and at last participants can rid themselves of their fear, and quite literally change their lives”.
The course begins this Saturday with a Ground Course at the Adelphi Hotel, hosted by Channel 4’s Lawrence Leyton. Lawrence, together with a senior easyJet captain will take participants through the principles of flying and all the unfamiliar sounds and sensations you feel on board an aircraft. Then they’ll be taught a series of techniques that will help them to manage and ultimately conquer their fear.
On Sunday (1st March) a special one-hour Experience Flight will leave (and return to) John Lennon Airport during which all the lessons learnt the previous day will be put onto practice.
Mark Wein from Fearless Flyer adds; “ over 95% of participants who come to the Ground Course also complete the flight with us. Only 5% of our participants have never flown before – the vast majority have developed their fear over many years. We’re delighted to be able to come to Liverpool for the first time and make a real difference to the lives of our Fearless Flyers”.

The cost of the course is £189 including the Experience Flight. Participants may bring a companion with them for an additional £69.
The Experience Flight departs from Liverpool John Lennon Airport at 8.00a.m and will be operated on an easyJet Airbus 319 aircraft.
